Credits are the currency for syncing documents to your vector store. Each operation (parsing, chunking, embedding) costs a specific number of credits. This pay-as-you-go model means you only pay for what you actually use.
Every account gets 250 free credits every month, automatically reset on your billing date. That's enough to sync about 12 documents monthly at no cost. Free credits are used before purchased credits.
No! Purchased credits never expire. They remain in your account until you use them. Only the free monthly credits reset each month.
You won't be able to sync new documents until you purchase more credits or wait for your free monthly reset. Your existing synced documents and vector store data remain accessible.
A standard document sync costs 20 credits. If you sync 100 documents per month, that's 2,000 credits. With 250 free credits, you'd need about 1,750 purchased credits (~$18 worth from the Standard package).
Purchased credits are non-refundable. We recommend starting with a smaller package to estimate your usage before buying larger packages.
